“Brevity is the soul of wit.”
“So perhaps the best thing to do is to stop writing Introductions and get on with the book.”
“One forgets words as one forgets names. One's vocabulary needs constant fertilizing or it will die.”
During my career I have been very fortunate to work with many great people in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. On the following pages I am happy to provide additional information about some of these projects.
From 2003 to 2014, I worked closely with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the preparation of their two main annual reports to Parliament: Report on Plans and Priorities and Departmental Performance Report.
The Report on Plans and Priorities (RPP) provides information on the plans and expected performance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police over a three-year period and is tabled in Parliament each spring.
The Departmental Performance Report (DPR) provides information about the organization’s actual accomplishments against the plans, priorities and expected results set out in the Reports on Plans and Priorities and is tabled in Parliament in the fall.
My role was to edit, design and code the document for publication in print and online as described below. I worked closely with an RCMP liaison under very tight deadlines which required flexible work schedules, both day and night and on weekends and holidays.
